Maintenance/Fleet EngineerReports toLead EngineerPosition SummaryThe Maintenance/Fleet Engineer will need to learn about the machinery and the physical structure of the premises.
They should be skilled with mechanical processes and willing to learn in addition to having a Stationary Engineers License.
This position includes on-site hands-on training to include any necessary external classroom training.
Certain skill level proficiency will need to be met for ongoing employment.
Responsibilities Aid in ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications Troubleshoot malfunctions.
Control downtime by informing production workers of daily/weekly routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
Provide mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
Building maintenance Equipment inventory Fleet mantenance Qualifications High School Diploma Required Understanding of mechanics and mechanisms Understanding of electricity Basic Math Skills Ability to read and understand schematics Trade School Diploma/Certificate a plus Physical Demands Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Regularly required to work around operating equipment Must be able to stand, walk, reach, stoop, crawl, and bend for an extended period of time and also work from different elevations, and different temperature conditions.
